I've been following Troy Dunnavant's case, and I can't stop thinking about the bravery of the witness who tried to help him. It's a stark reminder of how community members can step up in dire situations. While their attempt sadly didn't save Troy's life, it’s important to recognize their effort and the immediate instinct to help. In a world where so many feel helpless in the face of violence, this person took action. My heart goes out to Troy's family—losing someone in such a sudden and senseless way must be incredibly difficult. And yet, I also feel a sense of gratitude for those few who try to make a difference, even in the face of tragedy. It makes me wonder how we can create safer communities and support each other in these moments of crisis.
