I've been following the Ladonna Gist case, and I can't stop thinking about the impact this tragedy must have had on the motel staff and long-term guests who knew her. She wasn't just a manager; she was a part of their daily lives and a source of stability in what can often be a chaotic environment. It's jarring to consider how, in just a few moments, their entire world was turned upside down. Having to return to work or stay in a place marked by such violence must be incredibly difficult. I hope they can find some solace and healing, and that justice for Ladonna brings them some measure of peace. Let's keep her loved ones in our thoughts and continue the conversation about how the fear of violence affects communities.
