Ladonna Gist, a 42-year-old African American woman, was tragically killed on July 31, 2015, in Dallas, Texas. The incident occurred at the City Inn Suites on South Ewing Avenue, where Gist was employed as a motel manager. Early that morning, Dallas police responded to a shooting at the motel and discovered Gist's body at the bottom of a flight of stairs. She had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
