I've been reflecting on the role of work as a comfort zone, and it's just so sad how Rhonda's colleagues must feel after her passing. By all accounts, she was a respected figure at the University of North Texas, dedicating 15 years to the Computer Information Technology Center. It makes me think about how our workplace communities can become like extended family, and losing someone like Rhonda must leave a big void. I can't even imagine how her coworkers are coping with the news, especially knowing that she was not just a colleague but also a friend to many. Those bonds are so meaningful. Has there been any response from the university or her colleagues? Sometimes institutions set up memorials or scholarships in honor of remarkable staff members, and knowing how valued she was, that might be something that's considered in the aftermath of this tragedy. Continuing to send thoughts to everyone who was touched by her life, especially her family and the university community.
