I recently came across the Ratliff case and was deeply affected by the story of Sandtrece and Ariel. One detail that I find particularly troubling is the claim of self-defense made by Michael. It seems so implausible when considering the forensic evidence and the accounts from those who knew the family. From what I've read, the medical examiner's report clearly showed inconsistencies with his version of events. It's unimaginable how difficult it must be for Sandtrece and Ariel’s loved ones to process such a devastating loss while grappling with these claims. My thoughts are with the family, and I hope they find strength in their memories of these two wonderful souls. Justice may have been served in the court, but the emotional scars will take much longer to heal.
