I can’t wrap my head around why anyone would think it’s a good idea to bring out a loaded gun just because of a scene in a movie. Watching a movie with someone you care about should be a safe, happy experience, not end in absolute tragedy. My heart goes out to Kaitlyn's family and little Alexander, who now has to grow up without his mom. I hope this serves as a harsh reminder to everyone about gun safety and why it's so important to check, double-check, and then check again that a gun is unloaded if you’re going to even consider showing it to someone. This senseless loss didn’t need to happen, and I hope justice is served for Kaitlyn and her family. Sending love and support to them all during this incredibly tough time.
