Kaitlyn Trammell, an 18-year-old woman from Galveston, Texas, tragically lost her life on July 30, 2017, in Bacliff, TX. She was watching a movie with her boyfriend, Ornaldo Martinez, at his home when the incident occurred. During the movie, a scene involving a gun prompted Martinez to retrieve a firearm and show it to Kaitlyn. Unbeknownst to him, there was still a live round in the chamber, and the gun accidentally discharged, striking Kaitlyn in the head.
