It is devastating to see the Martinez family go through this unimaginable pain. I can’t stop thinking about the impact this has had on Julie's children, especially with them being there and witnessing everything. The fact that Julie's teenage daughter had the presence of mind to call for help is incredibly brave, but I can't imagine the trauma that must come with that. I hope they get all the support they need to begin healing. With Garcia’s history of domestic violence, it’s frustrating that the system couldn’t protect Julie. I wonder if there were any warning signs or protective orders in place? It’s heartbreaking to see another family torn apart by domestic violence. This really highlights the urgency for our communities and legal systems to step up and find better ways to protect those at risk. We all need to advocate for change in how these situations are handled to prevent them from happening again. My thoughts are with Julie’s family and friends, and I hope they find some form of justice and peace in this process.
