I've been following Bennie Ray Jackson's case, and I can't shake the feeling of how senseless this all is. I grew up near Tyler, and hearing about this tragedy hits too close to home. It's frustrating not knowing who could do such a thing to someone just chilling on their front porch, a place that's supposed to feel safe. Does anyone know if the neighborhood had a history of violence or any ongoing disputes? Sometimes the smallest piece of the puzzle can be the key to solving the case. My heart goes out to Mr. Jackson’s family and friends; I can’t even begin to imagine what they’re going through. If any locals have any info or rumors they've heard, I seriously hope they feel encouraged to reach out to the authorities. Every lead counts.
