I was reading through some old articles and had a thought about the financial aspect of Mildred's disappearance. If she really did leave with a significant amount of money as Ronald claimed, shouldn't there be some sort of paper trail, like large withdrawals or transactions? Did anyone ever look into her bank records? It's hard to believe she could just vanish financially if she took a substantial sum. Maybe someone out there has more insight on how these things were handled back in the '70s? It seems like a lead that should've been more thoroughly pursued. Also, with her medical condition, refilling prescriptions would have required identification—couldn't that have been another way to track her movements, if she'd gone into a pharmacy? Just throwing out some ideas hoping to help piece things together.
