I can't stop thinking about Amira's neighbors and what they must be going through. Living in the same building where such a tragedy occurred must be terrifying and deeply unsettling. I can't imagine how it must feel to have that in your mind every time you walk past her apartment door. Were any neighbors aware of any signs that something was wrong? Sometimes, people can seem fine on the outside, and you’d never guess what’s happening behind closed doors. My heart goes out to all those who had interactions with Amira but never had a clue about the danger she was facing. It's a sobering reminder to check in on each other, particularly if we notice something might be off. It's just so incredibly sad all around.

Did you guys hear about Amira Mahler’s cat, Luna? I've read somewhere that Luna was found in the apartment unharmed after the tragic incident. It makes me wonder how much animals pick up on human emotions in situations like this. Can you imagine the confusion Luna might have felt? I hope Amira’s family was able to take her in. Her little fur friend must have been such a source of comfort to her. It's such a reminder of the silent victims in domestic violence situations, and how it affects everyone—human and animal alike. It's just so tragic all around. Anyone know if Luna is with family or what happened after?
