I’ve been following the Ronald Sepeda case closely and am struck by the contrast between the two men involved. From what I gather, Sepeda was cherished by his family and friends—his kids, grandkids, and even his mom, Esther, all spoke so highly of him. It makes you wonder what exactly went down in that confrontation with Calvin Brown, and how things escalated so terribly. I'm also curious about the decision-making process behind Brown's attempt to cover up the incident. Did he believe he would get away with it? It just seems like such a rash decision to try and erase what happened, especially given an entire community would feel Sepeda’s absence. I can't imagine the pain his family went through knowing what happened, especially seeing how beloved he was. It’s good to see that the Special Crimes Unit remained dedicated to this case, encouraging any witnesses or anyone with information to speak up. Hopefully, as more details come to light, Ronald Sepeda Sr.'s family can find some peace. My heart goes out to them during this incredibly difficult time.
