Has anyone else noticed how this tragedy happened right by a place that's meant to be safe—a VA campus? It makes me feel uneasy that something so terrible could occur there. My heart goes out to Ricky Forward’s family and friends as they cope with this unimaginable loss. I can’t even begin to fathom what they must be going through. I find it really disturbing that the shooter is still out there. It's been more than three years, and with no arrests or leads announced, it just makes you wonder how this person hasn’t been caught yet. I hope someone out there remembers something or saw something that day and comes forward. If you were in the area or know anyone who was, please reach out to Detective Andrea Isom or call Crime Stoppers. This family deserves answers and justice, and any small bit of information could be crucial.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the location where Ricky Forward was shot. It's just so shocking that the incident happened so close to the Veteran Affairs' campus. You'd think an area like that would have more security or deterrents that could prevent such tragedies. It hits a bit too close to home for many in the Dallas area who frequent those businesses or live in that apartment complex. My heart goes out to Ricky's family—it's just so hard to comprehend. It's a reminder of how random and cruel this world can sometimes be. I hope that someone out there knows something and comes forward soon. Ricky deserves justice, and his family deserves peace of mind. Does anyone else feel like this location specifically makes the case even more unsettling?
