Hey everyone, just chiming in with a thought about Curtis Austin Holmen’s case that’s been nagging at me. So, we know that his truck was found near Placid Lake with his personal items inside, but the keys were missing. Has anyone considered the possibility that Curtis might have intentionally left the truck there and went on a planned hike? I mean, he did have a forest map with him, which suggests he was familiar with the area or planning to explore it.
It makes me wonder if he had a specific destination in mind but something went wrong along the way. The fact that there were bear tracks over his might indicate he was caught off guard. The unconfirmed sighting at the Girl Scout camp could also mean he was disoriented or trying to find help. Could he have been injured and lost his way?
Also, has there been any more insight into his brother's theory about the connection to the missing priest? It's interesting and could point to a larger issue at play during that time. Would love to hear if anyone has more info or thoughts on this. Keep sharing!
Has anyone else come across information about that strange sighting at the Girl Scout camp? I find it odd that someone resembling Curtis was reportedly seen so far from where his truck was located. It almost feels disconnected, but it’s hard to ignore. Sure, it's unconfirmed, but why would someone mention it if there wasn't something to it? Maybe it points to a bigger picture that hasn't been pieced together yet. It makes me wonder if there could be more eyewitnesses or if someone else saw something that they might not realize is important. What if there was a reason Curtis was in that area, something that connects the locations? If anyone here has more details or theories about this sighting, I'd love to hear them. It feels like a piece of the puzzle that needs more attention.
I recently came across Curtis Holmen’s case, and something that caught my interest is the mystery surrounding the forest map found in his truck. It might seem like a minor detail, but why was it left behind while the keys were missing? Curtis was clearly familiar with the area, given his hiking plans, so did the map hold any significance? Perhaps it had particular marked trails, or maybe it was meant to guide him somewhere specific? If there were any annotations or highlights on it, they weren't mentioned in any of the reports. It makes me wonder if it was just a typical map or if it could have provided some insight into his intentions that day. Anyone else think this might be worth looking into further?
