Wow, what a tangled web this case has become! I've been digging through some documents and have been struck by how little we hear about Eugene's family from before he met Deborah. Was he estranged from them, or did they just not know what was happening? I find it odd that there's not more info on them reaching out or pushing for more extensive searches during the initial investigation phase. If anyone has come across insights or local news from that time mentioning relatives advocating for Eugene, I'd love to hear more about it. Keeping our fingers crossed that the ongoing investigation brings some closure to this mystery one day.

Has anyone else looked into Michael Russell's background? I know he died in that so-called fishing accident before they could charge him, but something about that just doesn't sit right with me. I'm wondering if he might have had a history of violence or any other past criminal behavior that could give us more clues about what happened to Eugene. It's so suspicious that Deborah managed to control all of Eugene’s finances and that this supposedly happened right after they were married. Could Michael have been the kind of person who would go along with such a plan, or was he manipulated by his sister? If anyone has run across any old news articles or documents related to Michael, it could really help piece this together.
