I want to talk about the community aspect surrounding Darryl’s tragic case. It’s incredible how the local Houston community rallied around his family and the memory of Darryl after his death. There were so many heartfelt posts and shared memories from people whose lives he had touched through his work and mentorship. I even saw a few people mention that they’d dropped off flowers at his repair shop, just to pay their respects to someone they considered a friend. It’s a testament to the impact he had, especially considering his young age. It’s comforting to see a community unite in support during such a terrible time, even though I wish it wasn’t necessary. My heart goes out to his family and friends. How powerful his legacy must be to inspire such widespread love and remembrance.
