Hey everyone, Reading about the tragic case of Tevin Watson really got me thinking about the justice system and the kinds of people we let out on the streets. I mean, it's really upsetting to see that Phillips was out on seven felony bonds. It's like we're just giving a free pass to repeat offenders. How many more innocent lives are going to be affected before something changes? I really feel for Tevin's family and the trauma those kids must have experienced being in the apartment that day. Can't imagine the long-term impact on them. It's just so frustrating to see these gaps in the system that allow such violence to happen. Really hoping that this case pushes for some change. How do you all feel about the current bond system? What can be done to prevent this from happening again? Sending my thoughts to Tevin's friends and family during this incredibly difficult time. Let's hope justice serves its purpose for them. Stay safe, everyone.

Does anyone else feel deeply concerned about the fact that Phillips was out on seven felony bonds? It seems like such a glaring issue in the justice system that someone with that many charges pending could still be out there. Not only has this loophole failed Tevin Watson and his family, but it also puts entire communities at risk. I can't imagine the pain his family must be feeling, knowing their loss could possibly have been prevented. While I'm relieved that Phillips and Rao were caught, it's essential that we address these systemic issues to prevent further tragedies. My heart goes out to Watson's family and especially the children who were present. I hope they'll be able to heal with the support of those around them.

I'm new here but have been following the case of Tevin Watson closely since it happened. It's truly disturbing to hear about the circumstances surrounding his death, but I'm glad to see that the Houston Police Department acted quickly in apprehending the suspects, Phillips and Rao. The thing that really stood out to me was how Rao, despite already being a felon, allegedly had access to a weapon. It makes you wonder how these loopholes continue to exist and what can be done to enforce stricter measures. My heart goes out to Tevin’s family and especially those kids who were present at such a traumatic moment. It's terrifying to think of the emotional scars they might have. They definitely need all the support and love from the community to cope with this unimaginable trauma.
