I've been following the Quincey Brooks Jr. case, and something that's been on my mind is the role of text messages as evidence. From what I've read, the messages exchanged between Quincey and Shohreh on the day of the incident seemed pretty crucial. It's hard to comprehend how intense things must have been for both of them that day.
It's tough to see a case where digital communication plays such a pivotal role, yet things still feel unclear. How do investigators draw the line between threats and desperate pleas for help when reading these messages? It feels like interpreting a very personal and intense situation with only one dimension of context.
My heart goes out to Quincey's family. It's unimaginable to deal with a loss like this, especially when there's so much ambiguity surrounding what truly happened. I hope that somehow, they find the strength and support they need.
