Hi everyone,
I was recently reading up on the Charles King Blanche case, and one thing that caught my attention was the group home he lived in. Does anyone have more information on how well these places kept track of their residents back in the early 90s? Especially someone like Charles, who had severe mental illness and needed regular medication. It seems odd that a person could go missing for so long without it raising any alarms either there or from family members. Was it common for group homes to have policies about reporting missing residents, or were their hands tied once someone left on their own, even if it was against medical advice? Just trying to understand more about how something like this could go unnoticed for nearly five years.
Thanks!
