Richard Edward Peters, a 76-year-old white male from Summerfield, FL, was found dead on July 26, 2019, in his home located in the 14500 block of Southeast First Avenue Road. Peters, a retired postmaster and Vietnam veteran, had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. His body was discovered by a sheriff's deputy during a well-being check requested by a concerned neighbor.
