I’ve been following Brandy Castaneda’s case for a while now, and something I've been thinking about is how the DNA evidence played a pivotal role in Kevin Hurley’s conviction. It’s both incredible and chilling how forensic science can bring justice even years after such a tragic event. I can't imagine the pain Brandy's family went through during the investigation and trial, and I hope the resolution brought them some semblance of peace. It’s so important for unsolved cases to get the attention and resources they need because every victim deserves justice, and every family deserves answers. It makes you realize just how crucial community support and cooperation with law enforcement are in these circumstances. Sending strength to all affected by this tragedy.
