Have any of you looked into what Edward Mays was working on at the time of his death? I’ve read bits and pieces about him trying to rebuild his life, and it sounds like he was really dedicated to making positive changes, not just for himself but for his kids too. It's truly unfortunate that his journey was cut short. Those kids deserved more time with their dad as he was trying to reconnect and be there for them.
I can’t help but wonder if more community programs or support could have made a difference, not just for Edward but for others in similar situations. It's heartbreaking to know that he was making an effort, and yet it still ended in such tragedy. My heart goes out to his family, especially his children who’ve lost the chance to know him as he was working to be. It must be incredibly painful for them, and I hope they find peace and support in this difficult time.
I was reading about Edward Mays and his tragic death, and I can't shake the feeling of how incredibly unfair it is. A father of five, trying so hard to turn his life around, and then this. I keep picturing his last moments—how heartbreaking it must have been for him to think about his kids while everything was happening. I really hope his family finds some peace in knowing he was working on making things better for them. It’s devastating to think about what they’re going through, and I admire their strength in pushing for justice. It makes me appreciate my own family even more and how fleeting life can be. Sending all my thoughts and prayers to his loved ones.
Hi all,
I’ve been following the tragic case of Edward Mays, and something that's been on my mind is his relationship with his kids. From what we know, he was actively trying to reconnect with them and rebuild those bonds. It's so sad to think about how a man who was genuinely working to better himself and provide for his family had his life cut short like this.
I can’t even begin to imagine what his kids and family are going through right now. Their bond might have been shaken by previous circumstances, but Edward seemed like he was really making strides to turn things around. His sister's description of him as a "big teddy bear" makes it clear how much love he had for his family, and I hope his children hold onto those memories of him trying to better his life for their sake.
It's a harsh reminder of how precious life is and the impact that violence has on families. My thoughts are with Edward’s family and especially his kids during this difficult time. Hoping for justice to be served and for them to find some peace.
Feel free to chime in if anyone has updates or thoughts.
Stay safe everyone.
