I recently came across a story about Layla Marie Salazar's family setting up a memorial race in her honor. It's heartbreaking to think about how she was so excited to join the track team in middle school, and now this event embodies the spirit and dreams she had. It’s truly touching to see the community come together, not just to remember Layla, but to try and bring about change. Layla's love for running is inspiring so many to join the cause, and the race is becoming a symbol of resilience and hope. To all who are participating or supporting this cause—it’s a beautiful way to celebrate Layla’s life and advocate for a better future. Her spirit still runs strong in every step taken for justice and change.
