I can't stop thinking about the vulnerability around this case. Manuel Sanchez Jr. was just out doing something he loved—playing basketball. It's devastating to think that someone could take advantage of his kindness and trust. I don't know how his family is coping with this immense loss, especially after hearing how joyful and full of life he was.
The fact that Manuel's father had to quit his job and uproot their lives to move back to Chicago just shows how deeply this has affected them. It's hard enough to lose a loved one, let alone in such a brutal way. I hope they find some comfort surrounded by family.

I was reading about this case again today, and one thing that really struck me this time is just how frightening it must have been for Manuel in those last moments. It's tragic beyond words. From all accounts, Manuel was such a trusting and warm-hearted person. It breaks my heart to think of his final moments, possibly betrayed by someone he might have thought was a friend.
