Has anyone else here come across the aspect of Detective Kennedy continuing to try and open the door even after being shot four times? It’s just such a testament to his incredible bravery and determination; it really moves me. I cannot imagine the depth of courage it must have taken to keep going under such dire circumstances. It seems clear he was truly dedicated to his duty, valuing the safety of others above his own life. I keep thinking about his family and the immense loss they must still feel. It's hard to grasp how someone could have so much strength in such a terrifying moment. His heroism should never be forgotten. Does anyone know if there were any changes in protocol or safety measures as a result of this incident? It makes me wonder if anything was put in place to prevent something like this from happening again.
Has anyone looked into the suspect's history before the tragic incident at Primeway Inn? It's unsettling to think that a parole violator with a murder charge in North Carolina could be on the loose and end up causing something so devastating.
