I was reading through the details about Jerry Jason "Jay" Barrett's case, and I can't stop thinking about the neighborhood where it happened. Having grown up in a similar tight-knit community, I can only imagine the shock and fear this murder brought to Wayne Drive. It's supposed to be a safe place where everybody knows each other. Does anyone know if there have been any community efforts or memorials for Jay in the area? It must have been a huge impact on his neighbors as well. Sometimes it feels like connecting with the community can bring new insights or jog someone's memory about that night. Just hoping that with enough awareness, someone might come forward with the missing piece needed to bring closure to his loved ones. It's so important for people to feel safe in their own homes, and for justice to be served. My heart goes out to everyone who was close to him.
