Has anyone else read through Jim David Adkisson's manifesto? It's chilling to think he spent so much time planning this attack, and what a tragic outcome it had for the innocent people involved. Greg McKendry's actions were unbelievably brave—trying to shield others from harm takes such immense courage. It's devastating how hatred can push someone to commit such terrible acts, and it's a stark reminder of the importance of compassion and understanding in our communities. Having seen children performing "Annie Jr." that day makes it even harder to comprehend. How could someone bring such violence into a place filled with joy and innocence? It sounds like the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church did everything it could to support its members afterward, but the emotional scars from something like this are hard to heal. I'm curious if anyone here thinks this incident could have been prevented through stricter gun control measures? I know it's a complicated topic, but it feels worth discussing, especially in light of something so tragic and senseless. Would love to hear others' thoughts.
