Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about how Aljernon Lloyd Jr.'s generosity touched the lives of so many young students at Lane College. I read that he provided housing even if someone couldn't pay rent, just because he wanted to help them succeed. It's rare to find someone who's so selflessly committed to supporting others, especially in times of need. The support he gave those students potentially changed their futures for the better, and that’s such a powerful legacy. It makes you wonder how many students achieved their dreams because they had a roof over their heads thanks to him. I can’t even imagine the loss his family is feeling right now, but I hope knowing the positive ripple effect of his kindness brings them some comfort. This senseless act took away a true pillar of the community. It breaks my heart to think about the loss of such a caring soul, but I hope the community's call for justice echoes loud and clear so he can get the justice he deserves. Thoughts are with his family and those students whose lives he profoundly impacted. Stay safe, everyone.
