I've been following Damani "Rookie" Aitch's case and find it incredibly sad how it's still unsolved after all these years. I was wondering if anyone else felt like the neighborhood's atmosphere might have shifted after that tragic morning in December 2016? Often, places have a way of holding onto the emotional energy of events like this. I can't help but think about how the Riverview Boulevard area must feel so different to residents who were there when it happened.
Also, do you all think there might be folks in the community who know something but are scared to speak up? Fear can be such a powerful silencer. I really hope that whoever has even the smallest piece of information finds the courage to come forward. Damani's family deserves answers and some peace.
I’ve been following Damani "Rookie" Aitch’s case, and I just can’t stop thinking about how much potential was lost that day. From what I’ve read, he was only 17, and his life was cut tragically short on Riverview Boulevard. It’s been nearly seven years, and it’s truly frustrating that his family is still left without answers. I can’t imagine the pain his loved ones must be enduring, especially with no closure in sight.
It’s heartbreaking to see cases like this go unsolved for so long. It often makes me wonder if someone, somewhere, knows something that could help break this case wide open. The Police and CrimeStoppers are still offering a reward, which should incentivize more people to come forward. I keep hoping this renewed push will lead to someone finally speaking up.
If anyone here has any ideas about how to get more attention on these cold cases, or how we can support Damani's family in their quest for justice, please share them. We owe it to Damani and his family to not let his story be forgotten.
Hello everyone,
I was just thinking about how Damani "Rookie" Aitch’s case remains unsolved and how gut-wrenching that must be for his family. It's been several years, and I can't even begin to imagine the pain they are going through, waiting for some form of justice. Has anyone heard if there have been any recent community efforts or vigils to keep Damani's memory alive and apply pressure on authorities?
Sometimes these gatherings not only help in raising awareness but also might nudge someone who knows something to come forward. I think about how valuable the community's involvement can be in these situations. Also, perhaps someone might have seen something back then and didn’t realize it was important, or maybe technology advances now can make use of old leads.
Stay safe, everyone, and let’s keep supporting Damani’s family in their quest for justice. Every little piece can truly make a difference.
Take care.
