Has anyone dug into the weather conditions on November 9, 2002, around Anchorage? I’ve been looking into it, and that time of year can be tricky with the early snow and all. If it was snowing or visibility was low, it might have added another layer of difficulty for Douglas to make his way safely or for anyone else to spot him afterward. Just trying to piece together what he might have been dealing with out there. If anyone has more detailed info on the weather that day or any local anecdotes, it could really help us understand the situation better.
I was reading more about Douglas' case and something that stood out to me was the weather conditions around the time he went missing. Does anyone know if there were any significant weather events in Anchorage on November 9, 2002, that might have affected searches or hindered any efforts to trace him? I remember hearing about how sudden snowstorms can make existing traces disappear quickly. It's been over two decades, and any detail, no matter how small, could lead to further understanding or discovery. I wonder if the weather might have played a role in why there was such limited information or clues from that day. Thoughts or insights?
