I've been following the Lamar Anderson case and wanted to touch on something that has resonated with me over the months: the candlelight vigil the community held to honor Lamar. It's truly touching to see how many people came together to remember him, proving the impact he had on those around him. His story of turning his life around for his daughter is so inspiring, yet bittersweet given how it all ended. During such a difficult time, showing solidarity and support for his family must have been a small comfort. It's essential that we continue to support them as they navigate through their grief and the ongoing legal process. Does anyone know if there are any ongoing efforts or community initiatives to keep Lamar's memory alive or to provide support for his daughter? How are people in Henderson feeling now that a few years have passed since the tragedy?

Has anyone else been thinking about the timeline between the moment Lamar was shot and when Phillip Lee Williams Jr. was captured? It seems like a long time for him to be on the run. How did he manage to evade the authorities for several weeks, especially since he ended up in St. Louis? The fact that he was able to escape immediately following the shooting and stay hidden for that long is really alarming. It makes you wonder if he had help or if he was just really good at staying off the radar. It's hard not to feel for Lamar's family, knowing that his shooter was out there for so long. I hope that even though Phillip is now in custody, the investigation goes deep into figuring out all these aspects. Also, much love to Lamar’s family and friends during this unimaginably difficult time.
