Does anyone else find the mental health aspect of this case incredibly concerning? It’s deeply troubling that Sean Ganey was evaluated for suicidal thoughts just days before the tragedy and still ended up with access to firearms. I wonder if there are gaps in the system that need addressing to prevent situations like this from happening. Shelly and her father might still be here if there had been more effective intervention or follow-up care for Sean. My heart goes out to Shelly’s family, especially little Piper. This really highlights the urgent need for better mental health resources and support networks for everyone involved.

I can't stop thinking about the aftermath for Shelly's young granddaughter, Piper. Losing her grandmother and great-grandfather in such a traumatic way must be incredibly difficult for someone so young. It's important that the community rallies around her, as it sounds like friends are doing with the GoFundMe campaign. Support systems are crucial for children dealing with such immense loss. Does anyone know if there are additional resources being made available to Piper, like counseling? Families experiencing tragedies like this need all the help they can get to heal and move forward. It's a stark reminder of the ripple effects that devastating events like this have on the youngest and most vulnerable among us. My thoughts go out to little Piper and everyone else grieving this terrible loss.
