It truly saddens me to think about Derrick RichLord Harris and the kind of impact his death has had on those who loved him, especially his five young boys. The thought of these children having to grow up without their father is beyond devastating. As a local artist, Derrick was on a promising path, and it just goes to show how suddenly everything can change due to senseless violence. What's even more frustrating is the lack of progress in the case. With all the resources poured into the investigation, one would think there'd be some movement by now. It's crucial for the community and Derrick's family to get closure and justice. Why hasn’t there been any headway? Were there no credible witnesses or leads? It feels like the case just faded into the background, and I'm sure I'm not alone in feeling convinced that more could be done. It makes one wonder about the kind of message this sends about accountability for such heinous acts. I sincerely hope that someone comes forward with information that could lead to an arrest. Derrick and his family deserve that, and it's important for everyone in the community to rally around them in solidarity and support.
