Has anyone else been following the trials related to Samuel "Jordan" Calvert’s case? I recently came across some articles and forum threads, and I can't stop thinking about the fact that Jeroy Green III was supposed to be wearing an ankle monitor that wasn’t even working properly. It's maddening to think that a simple check could potentially have prevented this tragedy. How does this even happen? You always hear about these systems in place to monitor youth offenders, yet they fail at critical moments. My heart is with the Calvert family—they deserve better, and I truly hope this spotlight on the oversight leads to real changes. Has there been any update on whether any changes are being implemented in the juvenile justice system because of this?

Has anyone else been following the revelations about Jeroy Green III’s ankle monitor situation? It's absolutely infuriating to learn that something as crucial as an ankle monitor wasn’t even charged! It makes you wonder how many more tragic incidents could be avoided if the system worked correctly. My heart goes out to Barbara Portwood and everyone touched by Jordan's loss. This is a terrifying reminder of how crucial it is for accountability and oversight in these systems, especially when young lives are at stake. I really hope that those responsible for these oversight failures are held accountable because no family should have to suffer like this due to systemic errors. It’s just so frustrating, and it needs to change.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the candlelight vigil that was held for Samuel "Jordan" Calvert. It’s touching to see how much he was loved and how his friends and family came together to honor his memory. Although I didn’t know him personally, seeing pictures and hearing stories about how he brought joy to those around him makes it all the more tragic. It’s infuriating that systems in place for young offenders failed so terribly, like with Green’s ankle monitor situation. I can’t imagine the frustration his family must feel, knowing that something like this might have been preventable. It’s important that we continue to push for changes to prevent such oversights and hopefully protect other families from experiencing this kind of pain. My thoughts are with the Calvert family and everyone affected.
