I’ve been following the discussion around Edward Earl Johnson Jr.’s murder, and something that’s been on my mind is the stolen handgun that was found near his body. It was apparently reported stolen during a residential burglary back in November 2019. This makes me wonder if there might be a connection between the burglary and Edward’s tragic death. Could the person who stole the gun be involved in his murder, or maybe it somehow changed hands over the months? I feel for Edward’s family as they wait for answers, hoping there might be some developments from forensic analysis on the weapon. Even if it doesn’t lead directly to a suspect, it might give the authorities a lead or two. It’s got to be so hard for everyone who knew him to see so little progress on the case when every piece of information feels crucial. Hoping they get the answers they deserve soon.
