I’ve been following Cortney Moyers’ case since it first made the news, and I keep thinking about the context of domestic disputes and how deadly they can quickly become. From what I understand, the argument got out of hand, but it's just so impossibly sad to think about the danger that can exist even in our most intimate relationships. It strikes an emotional chord, knowing Cortney was only 21, with her whole life ahead of her, and she should have been safe in her own home. I also wonder about the mental state of those involved. There's been some mention of Brandon having issues, but it seems like a grim reminder that unresolved personal issues can have serious consequences for everyone close. It's vital for friends and families to look out for signs of turmoil, as hard as that can be sometimes. My thoughts are with Cortney’s loved ones as they navigate this incredibly painful journey. They deserve real answers and, ultimately, peace.
