I keep thinking about the silver 2013 Honda Accord that Donte, Derick, and the unidentified woman were found in. The fact that it had Texas plates makes me wonder if they were just passing through Memphis or if there might be a bigger story behind why they were in that particular area. It's strange to think they might not have been from Memphis at all but ended up victims of violence there. My heart goes out to their families—imagine not knowing why your loved ones were in another state or why such a tragedy happened to them. I hope the investigators can piece together details about the car to shed some light on this case. Anyone out there who might have witnessed something or knows more should definitely speak out. The families deserve to know the truth and get some closure.
I can't stop thinking about how much Donte' loved his family and the huge void his passing must have left behind. From what I’ve gathered, he was always there for his younger cousins, tutoring them after school and being a positive role model. It's so tragic that his life was cut short before he could achieve even more. I hope his family is finding some form of comfort and support during this incredibly difficult time.
Also, does anyone else find it puzzling how the car had Texas plates? Was it a rental, or maybe borrowed from someone? It could be an important lead, but there doesn’t seem to be much talk about it. Hoping the police have looked into this angle, as it might lead us to more information. If anyone knows more or can shed light, please share. Has anyone else been following the tragic case of Donte' Malik Smith and Derick King? It's just so unsettling to think about what their families must be going through, especially with the lack of any suspects or solid leads. I was reading about where they were found, on Interstate 40 at Chelsea Avenue. Could it have been a road rage incident or something else entirely? Highways can be so chaotic, and it’s terrifying to think violence can erupt there.
