It's absolutely gut-wrenching to think about the void left by Juanita Washington's passing. Her contribution to the L.Y.E. Academy and her positive impact within the Memphis dance scene can't be overstated. I came across a video tribute at one of the memorials held, and the sheer number of lives she touched was evident. From the young students to her fellow educators, everyone spoke so highly of her unwavering support and dedication. You could just tell how passionate she was about her work and the people she worked with. The community's response has been one of unity and strength, yet you can sense the profound loss they're feeling. With the trial ongoing, I'm hoping that justice truly reflects the magnitude of what was taken from them. To anyone who knew Juanita personally, my heart goes out to you and I hope you're finding some form of comfort in each other during this incredibly challenging time. ?

I recently came across this tragic case of Juanita Washington, and I've been really touched by the outpouring of love and respect for her from the dance community and beyond. It's clear she was more than just the head administrator at L.Y.E. Academy; she was a mentor and a positive force in so many lives. I read that her students and colleagues have been putting together performances in her honor, which must be both beautiful and gut-wrenching at the same time. I can only imagine how much she inspired those around her with her dedication and kindness. It makes me wonder how her legacy will continue within L.Y.E. Academy and what new initiatives might come about to celebrate her passion for dance. Does anyone know if there's been talk of a scholarship or some kind of program in her name? I'd love to hear more about how the community plans to keep her spirit alive. ??
