I can't stop thinking about the impact this has had on Courtlyn Hendricks’ family and the larger community. I didn’t know him personally, but from what I’ve read, he seemed like someone who was really loved by those around him. It's just so tragic and senseless. I drive by that Mapco on Gallatin Pike South sometimes, and it’s chilling to think that something so violent could happen there.
It’s important that we keep these discussions going—not just about finding justice for Courtlyn but also addressing the bigger issues surrounding gun violence.
