Does anyone else find it incredibly frustrating how Derrick Martin’s case seems to have fallen off the radar? I was reading about the impact his death had, and it's really stuck with me how a young man’s life was cut short and it seems like justice has been out of reach for so long. I can’t stop thinking about his family and friends and what they must be going through, having this shadow hanging over them without any answers. It makes you wonder about the effectiveness of our systems when it comes to dealing with gang-related crimes. I've seen discussions on strengthening community ties and increasing outreach programs, but I worry it's all just talk unless we see action. How have other cities successfully dealt with situations like this? Would love to hear thoughts from anyone familiar with these kinds of cases.
