I came across the tragic case of Mary Ann Lees and Layne Dorothy Spicer, and it’s been on my mind ever since. I can’t help but think about how terrifying it must have been for teenagers growing up in Philadelphia during that time, especially with a place like the "Castle" nearby. It’s so hard to understand how a site with such dark activities could exist without more being done, even back then. The connection to the Warlocks motorcycle gang makes it even more chilling; it’s like something out of a nightmare. I feel for their families who have spent decades without answers, and it makes me hope that with today’s technology, there might still be a chance to unravel this mystery someday. Anyone else get the same eerie feeling looking into this case?

Every time I read about the tragic events surrounding Mary Ann Lees and Layne Dorothy Spicer, my heart aches for their families. The Castle is such a chilling part of this case, and it's deeply unsettling to think about the influence and activities of the Warlocks gang at that time. It's frustrating that despite the ties between the Castle and these horrific events, no one has been brought to justice. How terrifying it must have been for locals back then, knowing such a dark force was at play and seemingly untouchable. I hope one day new evidence or a fresh lead comes to light to finally provide some closure for the families. In the meantime, we can keep these young women in our thoughts and continue to raise awareness about their case.
