I keep thinking about the location where Cortney Basel Elvester Woods was found. That intersection at Glenwood and Newton Avenues is more than just a spot marked by tragedy—it's a place many in the community pass by every day. How many of us have walked by there without knowing the weight it now carries? It's unsettling to think about how quickly a place can change from being just another corner to one tied forever to such a violent loss. For Cortney’s family, that area must stir emotions each time they pass. While his past does show he faced challenges, no one deserves to be remembered only for their struggles. His family deserves answers and closure, and I urge anyone who might know something to speak up. Every piece of information could be crucial in bringing justice to Cortney and peace to those who loved him. Recalling personal relationships and the impact on family and friends is just one more layer of heartbreak within this entire scenario.
