Cortney Basel Elvester Woods, a 22-year-old man, was tragically killed on November 17, 2015, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was shot in the head near the intersection of Glenwood and Newton Avenues after an exchange of gunfire with someone in a passing vehicle. Woods was reportedly walking on the sidewalk when the incident occurred. Minneapolis police responded to a ShotSpotter activation and found Woods critically injured.
