Jahmeer's story continues to linger in my mind, especially when I think about the dedication and hard work he put into his boxing career. 35-5 is no small feat for someone so young, and it's clear that he had so much talent and promise. It crushes me to think about all the potential that was taken away not just from him, but from the world that never got to see what he could have become—a champion both in and out of the ring. The fact that nothing was taken from him only makes it more haunting. It wasn't a robbery gone wrong; it was a senseless act of retaliation. Knowing he was just a kid trying to make something of himself makes this loss even more infuriating and sad. My thoughts go out to his family and the boxing community who undoubtedly feel this loss deeply. I truly hope they find some peace and justice in all this.
