Has anyone else looked into the backgrounds of Ruby Nell Thomas and Dollie Evans? From what I've read, they were incredibly kind-hearted women who often went out of their way to help those around them. It's unfathomable to think that such generosity could be met with such a tragic end. Knowing they offered James Mears a place to stay makes the situation feel even more tragic. This case really makes you think about the risk involved in helping others, especially those who've had a troubled past. My heart goes out to their families and friends; I can't even begin to imagine the pain they're going through. If anyone has more information about Thomas and Evans’ lives and their impact on the community, I'd love to hear it. Knowing that Mears was closely linked to them, you'd hope that justice will be served swiftly.
