Hey everyone,
I'm hoping someone might be able to provide more insight or just share thoughts about the neighborhood dynamics in Wilkinsburg around the time of Michael's tragic death. It's unsettling to think about how gun violence just seems to invade communities and change them forever. Even if Michael wasn't directly involved in anything dangerous, it’s heartbreaking how the lives of young people, especially people of color, can be abruptly altered by the environments they live in.
I’ve heard some folks mention that Wilkinsburg has had ongoing issues with crime and safety, but I'm interested in understanding if there were any specific tensions or events around October 2016 that might help us piece together what happened that night. Did any community efforts or neighborhood watches arise following this, or was there any rallying around the need for change?
If anyone here lived in or near Wilkinsburg at that time and might share their experiences or observations, it could really help shine a light on the situation. We can’t forget Michael, and even small details might be valuable in achieving justice and making sure his memory pushes us towards positive change.
Thank you.
Hey everyone,
I've been thinking a lot about the tragedy involving Michael West and couldn't help but wonder about the location where it happened. Wilkinsburg, being so close to Pittsburgh, seems like such a quiet area at first glance. It's so hard to believe something so horrific could happen there. Do any locals know if there were any other incidents around that area back then?
Also, I keep finding myself wondering about the family, and how they're holding up after everything. It's so frustrating that no progress seems to have been made in the case. I'm really hoping that someone, somewhere, steps forward with information that could help bring some justice to his family. It feels like an eternity since this all happened, and it really shouldn't be this way.
Appreciate any insights or thoughts from those familiar with the area. Thanks.
