I've been thinking about the role surveillance footage played in the Justin Simmons case. It’s truly unsettling how such technology can capture life's darkest moments. The video placing Tyrone Savage at the scene and showing him discarding the weapon was crucial in the trial. While it's haunting, it also helped bring justice for Justin and his family. It's a reminder of how pivotal these modern tools are in solving crimes, but also how they draw us into the harsh reality of the situation. My heart aches for Justin’s family and the trauma they had to relive through all that evidence in court. It must be incredibly difficult balancing relief from the justice served with the pain of their loss.
