Hey everyone, I'm so troubled by this case. I’ve been reading through the details about Thomas Watt's murder, and something keeps bothering me about how Abdul Rasheed managed to escape federal custody in the first place. Isn't there supposed to be a solid system to track and prevent these types of escapes? It just seems like such a huge failure in the system that indirectly allowed this awful tragedy to happen. My heart really goes out to Thomas’s family and the woman injured. I can’t imagine the combination of grief and frustration they're living through. It's just so important that we discuss how these system gaps can be corrected to hopefully prevent future tragedies. Curious to hear your thoughts on how escapes like this could be stopped. Any insights?
