I’ve been thinking a lot about the impact that Davon's death has had on the kids in the Marion Terrace community. From everything I've read, Davon was truly admired by the neighborhood kids, making his loss even more painful for them. How do families explain such violence to young children who looked up to someone like him as a role model? It's just so hard to wrap my head around the idea that a day meant to celebrate kindergarten graduations turned into something so tragic. My heart goes out to Davon’s son and all the children who lost someone important in their lives that day. I hope the community has been able to find ways to come together and support one another amidst the pain and confusion.
