In a quiet park in Ramsey, Minnesota, a heart-wrenching discovery was made on the morning of April 8, 2024. Nine-year-old Caucasian female, Solara Frank, was found deceased inside a parked vehicle in Rum River Central Regional Park. The devastating scene unfolded when law enforcement responded to a welfare check. Alongside Solara was her mother, 33-year-old Jessica Linette Frank, who was also deceased at the scene.
Solara's younger brother, 4-year-old Laiken Lea Frank, was found injured
inside the vehicle with his mother and sister. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but tragically succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. Solara was a third-grade student at Twin Lakes Elementary School in Elk River, and her brother Laiken attended Discovery Learning preschool. The family resided in Monticello, Minnesota.
Authorities from the Anoka County Sheriff's Office, Ramsey Police Department, and the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office are conducting an ongoing investigation into the deaths. While an official cause of death has not been released by all agencies, some reports indicated the family members were fatally shot.
